Outside of his research, Krishay enjoys reading, cooking, playing video games, and spending time with his loved ones.

Emma Craig

Emma Craig

Emma was an undergraduate student interning at the Shrestha Lab over the summer in 2022. Her work primarily focuses on how the overexpression of translation initiation factor eIF4E to increase protein synthesis in specific brain cells affects learning and memory. Emma is a rising junior majoring in Neuroscience at Lafayette College. At Lafayette College, she works in Dr. Lisa Gabel’s lab examining the ameliorating effects of Sulforaphane on a mouse model of autism. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her dog as well as being with friends and family.

Alex Fraser

Alex Fraser

Alex is a Research associate with the Gene Therapy team working on the Parkinson's Disease program, at Allen Brain Institute. Her general research interests include the mechanisms behind decision making and learning and her work primarily focuses on the role of prefrontal cortex circuits in memory consolidation. Alex received her B.S. in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Washington State University. While at WSU, she worked in Dr. Brendan Walker’s lab examining the impact that kappa opioid receptors have on learning within the context of alcohol dependence.
